This scholarship was established by Gary & Patricia Kinnett, in memory of their son, Kenneth “Ken” Kinnett who passed away unexpectedly in 2018.
Ken, was born in Rising Sun but the family moved to Greenhills, Ohio in 1964, where Ken participated in all the youth sporting programs. In high schools, he specialized in baseball and achieved All City and All State honors his Junior and Senior Years. He attended Triton College in Chicago, IL on a baseball scholarship but a damaged shoulder ended his baseball career after one season.
This scholarship will be awarded to a Rising Sun High School student who has participated in baseball/softball both their Junior and Senior year.
